CHISAKO IMADA
「私は以前介護の仕事をしていました。看取りに立ち合う事もあり、その経験をする前までは、”死＝全ての終わり”と感じていましたが、そうではなく、死ぬ事は終わりではなく新しい始まりなのだと強く感じ、生命の力強さにとても感動をしました。その時感じた生命の力強さや、次への繋ぐ循環を私は作品で表していきたい。」
広島県江田島市生まれ在住。
2016年から制作活動開始。
江田島を拠点に、国内外での展示、ライブコラージュパフォーマンス、ワークショップ講師を行っている。
思いを形にし繋げていく事をテーマに作品作り、企画をしています。
I used to work in nursing before. During that time, I witnessed death and the dying process. Before this experience, I thought, that death was the end of everything, but, suddenly I felt the strength of life as strong as never before and I have realized, that death was not an end, but, instead, the beginning of something new and I was very touched. In my work I want to express the strength of life, that I feel since then. (Artist statement, Chisako Imada)
Chisako Imada (born in 1980, lives and works in Etajima City, Japan) began her activities as a self-taught collage artist in June 2016. Since then, she has exhibited and performed live collages in galleries and art spaces within and outside the prefecture.
